The list of JAMB highest scores is always released after all JAMB scores for all candidates have been released.
After the board has made its results public, JAMB frequently announces the top JAMB scores right away. So in this article, we will be checking some highest JAMB UTME scores from each year.
One thing you should also know is that JAMB does release the statistics for the lowest JAMB UTME scores too, but we will not be listing that in this article. You can find the list of JAMB lowest scores here.
JAMB Highest scores from 1999-2023
Looking at results from 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, up until 2015.
Between the year JAMB started in the 1990s and 2015, there wasn’t a release of JAMB Highest scores.
The main information released by JAMB during the paper-pencil test was always the statistics of those who had below 200 and people who had above 200. It was recently that JAMB started releasing the particular names of the candidates who had the highest scores, mostly the top 10 or the top 20.
Below we have some of the actual JAMB highest scores from 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023.
2016 JAMB UTME Highest Score
The score that went viral was from a boy named Ibrahim who allegedly scored 399 but was later declared to be a fake result.
2017 JAMB UTME Highest Score
Ariori Ibrahim Olabode, a 16-year-old kid, scored an astonishingly high 375.
2018 JAMB UTME Highest Score
Galadima Zakari with 364.
2019 JAMB UTME Highest Score
2019 – Best score – Ekene Franklin – a 15-year-old boy from Abia State emerged as the best candidate by scoring 347 marks.
2020 JAMB UTME Highest Score
Maduafokwa Egoagwuagwu Agnes – 365.
2021 JAMB UTME Highest Score
Adeogun Kehinde Oreoluwa – 350.
2022 JAMB UTME Highest Score
Monwuba Chibuzor Chibuikem – 358.
2023 JAMB UTME Highest Score
Okaforagu Favour – 369
Does JAMB add more scores for people who have low UTME scores?
One thing you should know is that since it’s a CBT objective exam, your answers are marked immediately after you submit, the results are just not released immediately, and it is believed that the computer cannot make a mistake with the marking. JAMB will not give candidates any additional score than what was given by the computer. Anyone who tells you they can increase your score is lying.
Has any candidate scored 400 marks in JAMB?
So far, we have not seen or heard about anyone with that score, the only one that was seen online was in 2016 candidate with a 399 UTME score. However, it was later discovered to be photoshopped, which means it was never real.
One thing remains certain: anyone can be among the highest scorers released by JAMB every year, all you need to do is to believe in yourself, and never underestimate the power of intense preparation for exams.We have shared tips on how you can score high in JAMB, we mean above 300 in JAMB
Don’t settle for a lower score (between 180-200) if you can achieve more. Scores between 180 and 200 is the bare minimum score you need in order to gain admission into any school. Remember that a higher JAMB score will boost your chances of getting admission into your preferred higher institution.
And if you manage to be on the list of the top 10 JAMB highest scores for that year, you will be recognized nationwide and by JAMB and the sky will be your limit.
