Hello, We switched family for a user, and while the playlist was kept there, all of the music in the playlists is now gone. Is there any way to recover the music that was in those playlists? basically we had a family subscription, and when moving to another family itunes subscription the actual tracks are gone. It's really a big deal as these playlists took ages to put together.

Yes, when switching family sharing, the playlists were moved across, but there was no content in the playlists after making the move. I did find a solution though - i went into settings -> music and enabled the iCloud Music Library. When I did that it brought back all of the songs in the playlists. an odd effect, but at least all of them were not lost.
Thank you for your response.

We switched family for a user
What does that mean? You and someone else were part on one Family Sharing group before, and are now part of a different Family Sharing group. Correct?
Each user would/should have their own Apple ID account in the Family Sharing group.
The library and playlists are linked to the Apple ID accounts of the users. That information stays with the user account regardless of subscription type or Family Sharing group. However, if you were unsubscribed for Apple Music for a few weeks for the period in between, then this library and playlists information will be lost and you will have to rebuild the library from scratch.
