Madonna designs H&M clothing range (2024)

Madonna has announced that she has designed a womenswear collection for the high street chain H&M.

The singer - known as the Queen of Pop - worked with the head of design at Europe's largest fashion retailer to create the "M by Madonna" range, which is scheduled for worldwide launch in March.

H&M supplied Madonna and her entire entourage with a complete off-stage wardrobe for her Confessions world tour, which began in May.

The singer, who has previously modelled for the Swedish clothing company, said: "I've made no secret of my love for fashion and trends. Working with H&M was an exciting and new creative challenge for me ... I'm really happy with the results."

H&M said the new collection would "reflect Madonna's timelessness, unique and always glamorous style", while analysts predict the collaboration would generate a lot of interest in H&M, leading to increased sales.
