When we first caught a glimpse at the rock on her finger back on November 27, 2017, we learned that Prince Harry had designed the bespoke three-stone piece with the help of Cleave & Company, the late Queen Elizabeth’s regular jeweller. Meghan’s engagement ring has three stones, a style known as a trilogy ring. The cushion-cut centre diamond of Meghan’s engagement ring is estimated to be roughly three carats and was sourced from Botswana. The smaller side diamonds came from the personal collection of Princess Diana. The value of Meghan’s engagement ring is estimated to be upwards of $200,000 USD.
In 2019, royal watchers noticed that something had changed with Meghan’s engagement ring. Meghan’s yellow gold engagement ring band, which Harry said he had chosen because it was her favorite, had been replaced with a thin micro-pavé band. Adding these additional diamonds only increased the value of the ring too, leaving those looking to emulate Meghan’s ring with a challenge of not being able to afford it without royal relatives stepping up to help out with heirloom diamonds.
