How to fix page not available on Windows Security? ›

If you keep seeing the Page Not Available error message when you try to run the Virus and Threat Protection feature on your PC, you should restart your computer, the Windows Security app, and other security components. That usually solves the problem without any hassle.

Reset Windows Security app: Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features. Find Windows Security, and click Advanced options. Click Reset.

Solution 1: Check your internet connection.

If you are not, reset your browser, router and modem to try to refresh the connection. Try to verify you are connected with the browser again and if so, retry the sign-in.

Connection issues can lead to "Web Page Not Available" errors. These problems can be on your end, your ISP's end, or even with the website's hosting provider. Common connection-related issues include: Internet Disconnection: A sudden loss of internet connection can lead to this error.

Go to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security > Virus & threat protection. Under Virus & threat protection settings, select Manage settings, and then under Exclusions, select Add or remove exclusions.

Select Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security and then Virus and Threat Protection > Manage Settings. (In earlier versions of Windows 10, select Virus and Threat Protection > Virus and Threat Protection Settings.) Change the realtime protection setting to On / Off and choose Yes to verify.

Click Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Security > Virus and threat protection. Double-click “Hide the Virus and threat protection area”. Make sure this setting is set as Not Configured.

On your Windows device, open Windows Security. Select Virus & threat protection and then, under Current threats, select Protection history. If you have a list of items, you can filter on Quarantined Items. Select an item you want to keep, and choose an action, such as Restore.
