At times parents and carers need help and advice to deal with the everyday challenges of family life.

Parenting programmes

Parenting programmes are a source of support for all parents and carers and offer an opportunity to share parenting experiences, develop a greater understanding of child development, build positive relationships and learn skills to deal with challenging behaviour.

In Tower Hamlets we offer a range of parenting programmes which take place in schools and community centres across the borough Monday to Friday.

  • Strengthening Families, Strengthening Communities (SFSC)
  • Triple P Group
  • Triple P Group Teen
  • Triple P Discussion Programmes
  • Triple P Family Transitions
  • Parent Factor ADHD (for parents of children with a diagnosis of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder)
  • Speakeasy
  • Emotional First Aid (EFA
  • One off workshop exploring parenting topics such as Parenting for Single Parent Families
  • Healthy families
  • Keeping children safe online

Who can attend?

Courses are open to any caregiver, responsible for the care, protection and upbringing of a child or young person, including foster parents or connected persons, grandparents, siblings or other family members living in Tower Hamlets.

How can I book a place?

To attend a parenting programme or book a place on one of our online programmes please complete the Parenting Programme referral form and email to parenting@towerhamlets.gov.uk.

Professionals are also welcome to refer parents and carers to parenting programmes.
