In related news, a video of rapper Nicki Minaj trying to pronounce Salford during a tour stop in Manchester in 2019 as part of her world tour resurfaced recently - and it's hilarious.
As she sashays across the stage, she joked: "Did you know I was born in Manchester?" in a heavily affected London accent. Nice try, Nicki, but you're about 200 miles out.

"But if I was from Manchester, I don't know exactly where I would be from..."
As numerous voices in the crowd shout Salford, Nicki looks bemused, and continues (still in full British mode): "Well? You don't know?"
Bending down and trying to lipread what fans are shouting, she attempts to say Salford.

Shein launched an investigation after U.K. Channel Four documentary Untold: Inside The Shein Machine alleged that workers were subject to 16-hour-long days, got one day off a month, and earned wages of around 4,000 yuan ($572) per month to produce hundreds of garments for the online retailer each day.
For the most part, Uniqlo's items are quite inexpensive with slightly higher quality than Shein. I personally like Uniqlo for loungewear, cheap activewear and basics, such as T-shirts. Uniqlo doesn't have quite the same range of trendy items as Shein, though.
For the US audience, the company sends all of its clothes from the Shein warehouse in Foshan, Guangdong to the one near Los Angeles. Even though the company has a longer delivery time than some of its competitors, their prices and the large collection has kept their audience hooked to the app.
SHANGHAI/GUANGZHOU -- Shein's unconventional approach has propelled the Chinese fast-fashion app to a market value far surpassing that of its closest competitors Uniqlo and Zara. The startup has taken the world by storm by rolling out thousands of new products every day that can be bought for affordable prices.
