Pokémon Journeys has really taken its time with Chloe, and as a result, she may now be the anime's most compelling character.
Chloe has been one of the most intriguing characters in Pokémon Journeys ever since she first stepped around an unconscious Ash on the steps of her home and went inside without checking to see if he was okay. The daughter of Professor Cerise, Chloe is an anomaly in the world of Pokémon in that she's not particularly interested in it. Over the course of Journeys, Chloe has slowly come out of her shell in one of the most well-written character arcs in recent Pokémon memory.
Chloe attends an actual, non-Pokémon-related school, which apparently exists after all. While she does have a friend or two, she's generally aloof and resents that so many people assume she's going to be a Pokémon Professor like her father. It's implied that Chloe's "meh" attitude toward Pokémon stems from her father spending more time studying them than with her. The series has been fairly universal when it comes to kids' love for Pokémon, so it's jarring to meet a character who doesn't really care for the idea of having her own adventure.
While she does have a strong bond with the family's Yamper, this wasn't always the case; in fact, Chloe once yelled at him, which scared him into running away from home. Once Chloe found him and apologized, she and Yamper became inseparable, but Chloe's interest in Pokémon has always begun and ended with Yamper.
As often happens, the constant chaos that Ash brings with him wherever he goes begins to pull Chloe into the world of Pokémon. After she commands her Yamper in a battle against a Gengar that was terrorizing Cerise Lab, Chloe became much surer of herself, and her interest in Pokémon slowly came to life. She begins accompanying Ash and Goh on their excursions more often, after usually opting out of their globe-trotting adventures at the beginning of Journeys. In doing so, Chloe has developed a habit of caring for sick or injured wild Pokémon. She even catches her first Pokémon -- an Eevee that she bonded with when she rescued it from some sketchy scientists and Team Rocket.
Characters in Pokémon tend to change very quickly, like Goh, or almost never, like Ash. What makes Chloe so interesting is that her character arc has been a slow burn throughout Pokémon Journeys. It's rare for the animeto take its time with a character as it has with Chloe, making her accomplishments that much more poignant and rewarding. Chloe's personality is changing as well, as she has slowly grown more comfortable with and friendly toward Ash and Goh.
Chloe's status as a late-blooming Pokémon trainer goes a long way toward helping Pokémon Journeys stay fresh. It will be exciting to see how her personality continues to evolve as she continues to grow into herself. She thrives as the exasperated queen of sass saddled with the responsibility of looking after Ash and Goh while they take turns using the one brain cell they share. Chloe's character has nowhere to go but up, making it clear that the best journey in Journeys is hers.
Chloe and Goh are childhood friends. While she doesn't like Goh's boastfulness and hyper attitude, she cares about him, often frequently reminding him to behave and do his homework. She also sometimes gets concerned for his safety, especially after he became her father's assistant along with Ash.
Although Chloe is 10 years old, she stayed in school, instead of traveling on a Pokémon journey. This was until she grew closer with the family pet Yamper when he protected her from a Gengar, followed by her finding an Eevee and deciding to capture her, making her become her partner.
Chloe Cerise (Japanese: サクラギ・コハル Koharu Sakuragi) is a childhood friend of Goh. She was born in Kanto just like Ash. In the Japanese version, she is voiced by Kana Hanazawa. In the English dub, she is voiced by Cherami Leigh.
It is the newest ship of the Pokémon Journeys anime. Although it has not yet been finished, people have already speculated that Goh is hom*osexual, as his androgynous and feminine manners along with his seemed attraction to Ash proves.

Instead of trying to depict the complications of a long-distance relationship, the producers opted to drop the romance between Ash and Misty in favor of a simple yet strong friendship.
They're there when a Pelipper delivers a letter to Misty, asking her to meet someone named Georgio by the lighthouse. While Tracey is stuck with pool-cleaning duty, Casey and Misty go to meet the mysterious Georgio. He turns out to be a young Trainer who wants to ask Misty on a date!
May and Wartortle. May first meet Wartortle during its time as a Squirtle as it instantly took a liking to her and picked her as its Trainer right away. Seeing its natural talent for Pokémon Contest, May used Wartortle in her contest and grew a lot in them even after it evolved.

And, yeah, maybe "six" is just this world's arbitrary age for "goes to summer camp without supervision," but it doesn't do enough to explain what should be a four year age gap between Ash and Goh.
