- Should you tip a make-up artist? (Sephora)
5
I'm talking about tipping the person doing your make-up when you have an appointment at Sephora. I'm not sure if the $50 purchase limit gives them any commission but I'm not sure what I should do since I have never given the make-up artist moneydirectly.
I'm a make up artist at Sephora & no we don't get commission & its not required to tip us but it is greatly appreciated:)
MUAs at Sephora are, first and foremost, Sales Associates. If Sephora is anything like most retail/sales jobs, then they cannot legally accept gifts and/or gratuities. So, no. You probably shouldn't even try to tip a MUA atSephora.
Tanya your right. Some stores like mine allows you to claim the money with security. I've worked for several cosmetic brands already from high end to pharmacy brand & I've never been told in training I can't accept atip
Thanks for answering, I recently went and the MUAs aren't allowed to accept tips at thatlocation.
