The Sims 4 is a life simulation game where players are given the opportunity to create virtual characters and build their dream world. Not only does the game let players create Sims but they also have the freedom to customize their personalities and choose their careers. CAS is the mode where players can modify the appearance of their Sims, edit their family relationships, change their traits, and do much more. Read the following guide to learn how to enter the Create-a-Sim (CAS) mode in The Sims 4.
It goes without saying that The Sims 4 won’t be as enjoyable if Sims had only a handful of hairstyles and outfits to choose from. The CAS mode, on the other hand, enables gamers to change the traits or features of their Sims whenever they want to. This way, Simmers can customize the personality of a Sim however they want. However, the CAS mode is only accessible through cheats.
Press Ctrl + Shift + C on the keyboard and the cheat box will pop up. Next, players can type "testingcheats true" in the box and apply their desired cheats. On a Mac, press Command+Shift+C and type "testingcheats true" in the box. In order to bring up the cheat box on consoles, hit all four triggers on the controller simultaneously.
Once cheats are activated in The Sims 4, players are free to use the cheat to enter the CAS mode. All that players need to do is type "cas.fulleditmode" and choose the Sim they want to edit while holding the Shift key. Xbox requires players to press the A and B buttons, while PlayStation players will need to press the O and X keys on the controller simultaneously.
This will open a menu where players will see many options, including ‘Modify in CAS.’ Clicking on this option will take players to the CAS mode for that Sim. Once there, Simmers can make changes to their Sim’s appearance, clothing, traits, aspirations, and family relationships. After making the required changes, players can click the ‘tick’ icon to save the changes and return to the live mode.

All that players need to do is type "cas.fulleditmode" and choose the Sim they want to edit while holding the Shift key. Xbox requires players to press the A and B buttons, while PlayStation players will need to press the O and X keys on the controller simultaneously.
Alternatively, players can press and hold the shift key, left-click on any sim within their family, and choose the "Modify in CAS" option to bring up Create a Sim mode. From there, they can make minor changes, including hair, outfits, and accessories.
To enable the edit sim cheat Sims 4, players need to type "cas. fulleditmode" in the cheat windows and hit "enter". Hit "Esc" button on the keyboard to make the cheat box disappear. To edit a sim, press shift, left-click on the Sim, and click on "Edit in CAS."
To edit a household and have it keep more than 8, you have to click on a sim who is in the household you want to add more to. Click on MC Command Center / Modify Household in CAS. You HAVE to use the "Modify Household in CAS" method to add more than 8 or the game won't keep it.
To change their physical appearance: type the cheat 'cas.fulleditmode' into the cheat box.Then press the X and O button simultaneously on the sim you'd like to change. It'll bring up the 'Modify in CAS' option and you'll open CAS from there.
If it's just for editing, you need to have fullcas access as you can't edit body types of existing Sims without a cheat. If it's a general issue also when you create a new Sim, are you using mods ?
To enter Cheat Codes in The Sims 4, you must first open the Cheat Console by pressing “Ctrl + Shift + C” on your PC or Mac, while in game. This will bring up the cheat dialogue box where you can enter cheats. Don't forget to press “Enter” after typing in a cheat.”
You can click on a mirror or on the wardrobe and you will be able to change your appearance. If you want to change the physical appearance, you will have to use the cheats fullcasedit.
Usually I just chat with another Sim using Friendly social interactions until I see the option to "Offer To Makeover (Sim's name)", and if they agree then it allows me to do a makeover for that Sim in CAS to complete the assignment.
Enter the change traits Sims 4 cheat “cas.fulleditmode” in the cheat box and press enter.Press “Shift” on the keyboard and click on any sim to change the traits. From the available options, click on Modify in CAS.
