In order to start the wedding, players need to invite at least two guests, but they don't need to hire any service workers if they don't want to. Players must then decide on a location for the wedding, and once they do, all Sims involved in the ceremony will be transported to where the wedding is taking place.
How To Have A Successful Wedding In The Sims 4
During a wedding, players will have the option to complete certain challenges. Getting married is the primary goal, but those hoping to make the experience feel a tad more realistic can do so by completing some optional tasks.
However, some players may find that they are unable to complete these tasks as a result of not having the necessary skills or items. To prevent this from happening, players should make a few additional preparations before initiating the ceremony.
The Wedding Cake is a must-have for those hoping to complete the "Take First Slice" objective, so players should bake one before they begin planning the wedding event. To do this, a Sim must reach Level 5 in the Cooking skill, which will unlock the Gourmet skill. Then, they can interact with an oven to bake a cake and place a Wedding Cake Topper on it. This cake can then be added to the Sim's inventory and placed in the world during the wedding.

Players should also ensure that there is a bar at their wedding venue, as achieving the gold medal for the event will sometimes require a mixologist to make a unique drink. Having an oven or fridge nearby is also a good idea, as completing the "Eat Food" task requires Sims to have access to something edible.
When players are ready for their Sims to tie the knot, they can click on their Sim's partner and select the "Get Married to (Sim's Name)" option. This will cause both Sims to exchange their vows and get married, giving players the freedom to enjoy the rest of the ceremony.
The "Have Guests Watch the Ceremony" objective can be completed quite easily by immediately selecting the "Get Married to (Sim's Name)" option upon spawning at the wedding venue. This is because all guests spawn in the same location, so it's pretty hard for them not to witness both Sims getting married. If players want to increase the likelihood of their guests seeing the wedding, they should purchase a Wedding Archway and place it somewhere their guests can see. Getting married under a Wedding Archway will cause the guests to come and watch.
All Wedding Rewards In The Sims 4
Once the wedding is over, players will earn a bronze, silver, or gold medal, depending on how successful the event was. Each medal comes with a different reward, most of which will be added to the Household Inventory.
