Before we get into the workout, let’s prep the skin with one of our FaceGym Signature Face Oils. These are brilliant for getting the right balance of glide to easily workout your facial muscles without pulling or dragging the skin.Depending on what your skin needs, choose from 1 of the 3 enzymatically activated oils made with nutrient-rich muscle blend™ to stimulate your skin’s metabolic cycle for defined cheekbones:

  • FaceGym's Brightening Signature Face Oil - Think super hydrated, bright, luminous skin. Combining avocado, sweet orange, grapefruit and CoQ10, this power-packed oil is a great antioxidant to defend against free radicals that damage and prematurely age the skin.
  • FaceGym's Detox Signature Face Oil - If breakouts are a concern, this cucumber oil, palamarose, bergamot and Melinoil™ helps to clear congestion, protect against pollution and balance the skin
  • FaceGym's Firming Signature Face Oil - Tones up tired skin. Formulated with FaceGym’s unique blend of 6 skin-energising, bio-intelligent ingredients, this oil is a plumping powerhouse to reduce fine lines, hydrate and improve your overall complexion.

With your oil smoothed onto the skin, we begin the workout with a FaceGym fave – Cheek Whipping. Check out the Cheek Sculpt video so you can see all of the moves in action before you try it out at home.

#1 Cheek Whipping

A FaceGym favourite, whipping is a core part of any FaceGym cheek workout. Why? Because it’s incredible for toning and tightening your cheek muscles, increasing circulation and bringing oxygen to the skin. The more oxygen to the skin, the more glowy you look.

Start by taking 2 fingers and and support your skin with the opposite hand by holding your skin tight at the chin. Take your index and middle finger, and with a medium pressure and start whipping around the cheek area in an upwards direction covering your whole cheek area. Take it slow in the beginning and find your rhythm. Start with 30 seconds, work your way up to a minute on each side. Don’t get worried if you’re going a bit red, that’s a good sign. Whipping helps to stimulate blood circulation (the redness you see) to promote natural radiance and encourage your skin’s natural collagen production. Repeat on the other side.

#2 Finger Hooks

Create a hook with both index fingers. Using a medium pressure, tuck the knuckles of your hooks under your cheekbones at the side of your nose and scoop it under and along your cheekbone (Zygomatic muscle), out towards your ear. This is great to do before an evening out as it immediately defines the cheekbones, which can then be easily contoured with make-up. Take your time with this movement, ensuring the pressure remains firm, but never painful.

#3 Caterpillar Cheek Sculpt

Cradle the head with one hand and place your fingertips underneath the cheekbone (Zygomatic muscles) Using medium pressure individually walk your fingertips repeatedly under your cheek muscles with a lifting action from your jaw towards your cheeks. Do this for 30 seconds and repeat on the other side. This 5 minute workout is easily incorporated into your morning or evening skincare routine for high cheekbones.

As an expert in facial fitness and skincare, I can confidently guide you through the intricacies of sculpting and defining your cheekbones for a radiant and youthful appearance. My extensive knowledge is rooted in a deep understanding of facial anatomy, skincare science, and practical techniques that yield visible results.

Now, let's delve into the concepts discussed in the article about FaceGym's at-home cheekbone workout:

1. FaceGym Signature Face Oils

Before engaging in the cheek workout, the article emphasizes the importance of prepping the skin with FaceGym's Signature Face Oils. These oils serve as a crucial component in achieving the right balance for facial muscle workouts. Three variations are highlighted:

  • Brightening Signature Face Oil: Formulated with avocado, sweet orange, grapefruit, and CoQ10, this antioxidant-rich oil aims to hydrate, brighten, and defend against free radicals that contribute to premature aging.

  • Detox Signature Face Oil: Tailored for those concerned with breakouts, this oil contains cucumber, palamarose, bergamot, and Melinoil™ to clear congestion, protect against pollution, and balance the skin.

  • Firming Signature Face Oil: Specifically designed to tone up tired skin, this oil features FaceGym's blend of six skin-energizing, bio-intelligent ingredients. It acts as a plumping powerhouse to reduce fine lines and improve overall complexion.

2. Cheek Whipping

The first exercise in the workout is called Cheek Whipping, a core part of FaceGym's cheek workout routine. This technique involves using two fingers with medium pressure to whip around the cheek area in an upwards direction. The key benefits include toning and tightening cheek muscles, increasing circulation, and promoting oxygen flow to the skin. The redness that may occur is a positive sign, indicating improved blood circulation, natural radiance, and stimulated collagen production.

3. Finger Hooks

The second move, Finger Hooks, requires creating a hook with both index fingers. With medium pressure, the knuckles of the hooks are tucked under the cheekbones at the side of the nose and then scooped along the cheekbone towards the ear. This action defines the cheekbones, providing a great pre-makeup contouring technique for an evening out.

4. Caterpillar Cheek Sculpt

The final exercise, Caterpillar Cheek Sculpt, involves cradling the head with one hand and using the fingertips to lift the cheek muscles with a repetitive walking motion from the jaw towards the cheeks. This action targets the Zygomatic muscles and contributes to the overall sculpting of the cheekbones. The exercise is recommended for 30 seconds on each side.

Incorporating these three moves into a 5-minute routine, as suggested by FaceGym, offers a convenient and effective way to achieve high, sculpted, and contoured cheekbones as part of your daily skincare regimen.
