Obviously, that plot will likely dominate season 2 of The Winter King if it ever does happen, but there was also a clever tease at the end of the episode involving Merlin. The legendary wizard discovered the ancient Horn of Bran but found it was filled with blood. That cleverly implies that the future of the show will be anything but soft and pleasant.
