WHERE DID TYRANNOSAURUS REX LIVE? (2024)

TyrannosaurusRexalso known as T Rex was one of the largest meat-eating Dinosaurs that ever lived. Everything about this ferocious predator, from its thick, heavy skull to its 4-foot-long (1.2-meter-long) jaw, was designed for maximum bone-crushing action.

Tyrannosaurus Rex lived about 70 to 65 million years ago, in the late Cretaceous Period. T. rex was among the last of the big Dinosaurs. Like all non-bird Dinosaurs, T. rex lived in the Mesozoic era.

Up until recently, it was thought that T. Rex lived only in North America and Asia. There is fossil evidence to show that the T-Rex lived in what is now Montana and Wyoming. But, Scientists have recently discovered a hip bone belonging to an ancestor of the magnificent T Rex at Dinosaur Cove in Victoria, Australia.

Tyrannosaurus Rex is believed to have lived in forests, near rivers, and in areas that were open and full of prey. Mild seasons would have been most favourable to it.

Even as the king of the jungle, the T-Rex did not live very long. The oldest fossil on record was about 28 years old and showed signs of much trauma over its lifetime. It is unsure whether the T-Rex lived such a short lifetime because of constant combat (and died from its injuries) or for other reasons.
