Peaky Blinders: Tommy gets arrested following shoot out
Peaky Blinders season six will be arriving on Netflix in the near future and fans are excited to see Tommy Shelby (played by Cillian Murphy) return. In the series, Grace Shelby (Annabelle Wallis) made Tommy her second husband following the death of Clive Macmillan (Henry Garrett). She too met her demise and fans are keen to know why the actress left the show.

Grace was a barmaid at The Garrison Pub and she worked as an undercover agent for the Birmingham Police.
She was tasked with getting close to Tommy Shelby, but she ended up falling in love with him.
He felt the same way but was shocked to find out she had been secretly working against him the whole time.
Their relationship wavered throughout the series, with Grace meeting another man in America.
However, their feelings for each other remained strong and they got back together on her return.

Grace fell pregnant and gave birth to their son Charles, and she married Tommy in 1924.
Sadly she was killed after being shot by a bullet that was meant to harm Tommy.
Tommy was heartbroken and he never overcame the tragic loss, seeing his dead wife in visions.
In season five, Tommy's visions of Grace became more frequent as she tried to convince him to take his own life.
In the final moments of the season, Tommy was seen pointing a gun at his head and shouting, and he was ready to pull the trigger.

As for why actress Wallis left the series, it seems as though it could have been a creative decision.
Creator Steven Knight said Grace had to die as Tommy was not supposed to be happy.
He told Reddit fans: "The point with Grace is that if she had lived, Tommy would have been happy. He wasn’t meant to be happy.”
His intention was to give Tommy redemption and he needed to reach his lowest point in order to make a change.
In future seasons, Tommy may have to come to terms with ignoring Grace's pleas to join him in the afterlife.

Deep down he has hopes of moving on with his life as Grace would want him to be strong.
He has been convincing himself he belongs with her, which is why she beckons him in his regular visions.
The pair had a unique bond and Wallis said she had begged Knight to make her character Tommy's bride.
She told the Birmingham Mail: "It was amazing, I was very excited to be chosen as the bride.
"I was always convinced it was going to be me, but they wouldn't tell me, even though I badgered writer Steven Knight and emailed Cillian Murphy to find out."

Grace continues to be sorely missed but fans have enjoyed seeing her in Tommy's visions.
There is a chance her role in the series will come to an end soon if Tommy stops envisioning her.
Some fans still believe she will make a return, with one saying on Reddit: "Why do I always get this gut feeling that somewhere Grace is alive and that in Season 6, Thomas and Grace will reunite.
"SK said that he wants to end the story with a redeemed Thomas and I don't see anything less than Grace being alive can actually redeem Thomas Shelby looking at how he always hallucinates about her.
"Also her role as an undercover agent of the crown in S1 was too short and meaningless to give her role an important status in the life of Tommy, I believe that she is yet to complete her mission and that she is still acting as an undercover agent of the crown and she will come back to Tommy once it's done.
"Only then her role will get an equal status to that of Tommy's."
