People always say "The World is faster and stronger, but Star Platinum is more precise and more durable" I think it's the opposite, because if The World was faster, he'd dodge a lot of the attacks Jotaro did, even when DIO drank Joseph's blood, there were still some moments when Jotaro overpowered him, and before that, he easily broke DIO's skull, and if The World tried to break Jotaro's skull, then Star Platinum would most likely grab his fist or punch his fist. Another example of Star Platinum being WAY stronger than DIO/The World is when he beatdowned DIO so hard the skin on his head was hanging off. Basically what I am saying, is that DIO was easily overpowered by DIO because he it caught off guard so much, and his stand isn't very fast (he can barely dodge or block most of Star Platinum's punches). Especially because of Jotaro's time stop movement, DIO is so easily caught off guard. If he didn't get Joseph's blood, he would have been killed by Jotaro a lot sooner.

This isnt about dio or jotaro. this about the world and starplatinum.
Dio has already proved to us 3 times that the world is stronger and faster....and SP has proved that its durablity allows it to hit harder and have more precision.

Dio when he got joseph's blood was literally drunk and wasnt thinking striaght thats why he lost to jotaro. if dio was bloodlusted and wasnt drunk he would have killed jotaro in that first timestop.
Jotaro and starplatinum are infact weaker than Dio and the world...araki himself and the characters themselves have proved this to us.
SP hits harder than TW and is more procise....but TW is faster and stronger.

Not siding with the enemy; the thing is that The World at that point of time was weaker and still developing. BUT, if DIO had reached his peak along with his stand, Jotaro wouldn't have been able to defeat him. Anyways, DIO was a damn, blundering idiot, so he was easily caught of guardand thus annihilated.
