If you’re dying to look comfortable and cozy (is it fall yet?), a duster cardigan is the way to go. Also known as a long-line cardigan, this style is characterized by length. Any cardigan that hits below the knee qualifies as a duster.
Duster coats were popularized over a century ago. Over time, fashion styles were cropped and shortened, but now the long-outerwear look has made its way back to knits. These can be modest when worn with a tee, jeans, and high-heeled booties, or you can make things interesting with a crop top or shorts.

Yay! I love duster cardigans, I have at least 5 of them in all kinds of colors! They’re great with summer dresses and rompers because they can add some length and some coverage to an otherwise skin-baring outfit. It’s lovely!

I’m 5’2″ and not skinny by any means and I wear them. My sister says I look so comfy in them. So go for it!

I am considering purchasing a taupe duster cardigan because I love the color of it. But I am very petite, so I’ll need to try it on first to see if I like it. I’m sure proportions are important here, tucking in shirts, short dresses, crop tops. It would be great to see some outfit inspiration here on these cardigans, how to look classy rather than lazy.
