An Android mobile phone has features that you can find on other mobile phones, such as the ability to place the device on Silent mode. This mode enables you to mute the phone's ringtone and messaging tones when you are in a noise restricted area. Silent mode does not prevent the phone from receiving calls and messages. If you want to disable Silent mode because you are in a location where it is OK for your phone to ring, edit the settings in Android.
Use the power button. Press the Android phone's "Power" button and hold it until a menu appears on the screen. Clear the "Silent Mode" check box in the menu to disable the Silent Mode option.
2.
Press the "Up" volume button on the Android phone until the Silent Mode icon on the screen changes. The Silent Mode icon looks like a speaker with a line through it or a speaker with circle and a line superimposed over it. When the Silent Mode is disabled, only a speaker icon appears.
3.
Use the Settings menu. Select the "Settings" icon from the Android phone's home screen. Select "Sound Settings," then clear the "Silent Mode" check box.
Press the "Up" volume button on the Android phone until the Silent Mode icon on the screen changes. The Silent Mode icon looks like a speaker with a line through it or a speaker with circle and a line superimposed over it. When the Silent Mode is disabled, only a speaker icon appears.
To unmute your phone, simply open the quick settings panel and tap the volume toggle to switch it from Mute or Vibrate to Sound. If you can't find the volume icon, you can add it by going to the last page of the quick settings panel and tapping on the Plus icon.
The easy way to turn off silent mode is to use the physical Ring/Silent switch. If this switch is broken or is faulty, then use an option in the Settings app to disable silent mode. In case your phone's physical switch is stuck on silent mode, the Settings option will override that and bring you back to ring mode.
Step 1: Open the web browser app on any device. Visit Find My Device – Google website. Step 2: Log into your Google account that is linked with your lost Android phone. Step 3: Tap on Play Sound option to make your lost phone ring out loud so that you can spot it easily.
One of the easiest ways to eliminate the issue is by turning off the volume control buttons. The volume button can trigger the silent switch if pressed for longer. You can turn off the button from the sound settings.
If you have an Android phone, you can mute your phone from the call screen. Your call screen has different buttons including a mute button (circled below). It is a microphone with a slash line through it. Please click on this button to mute and unmute your hone.
