Do you notice that your work pants are too stiff and you want to loosen them up? Here are some techniques and tips that you might find useful.
Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera not only has purifying, moisturizing and soothing properties for hair and skin. The gel extracted from the leaves of this plant is also a good fabric softener.
By hand: soak your work pants for two hours in water, please pour the gel previously diluted in water (one liter of water for a spoonful of gel ).
Baking soda
In the washing machine: add a coffee cup of baking soda to the washing machine detergent.
By hand: soak the linen in hot water with baking soda or add a tablespoon of baking soda to the last rinse water after washing the other linens.
Brushing the laundry
Like the washerwomen, rub your work pants on a board with a brush in hot water and Marseille soap. Rinse well and add a little white vinegar to the water of the last rinse.
Cold water
By hand: soak the pants overnight in a bathtub full of clear, cold water, then rinse them. This removes the finish from the pants and makes them more flexible.
In the washing machine: opt for the longest cycle, cold and without detergent, low spin at 600 rpm. Iron the slightly damp pants.
Glycerin
By hand: combine in an empty bottle about thirty drops of essential oil (lavender, rose, pine according to your desires), five tablespoons of glycerin and distilled or mineral water filled to the neck . Close the bottle then shake. Your softener is ready. You can use it to soften your pants as the last rinse.
In the washing machine: pour the mixture into the dispenser of your washing machine.
Iron steam
The steam from the iron can restore softness to your workwear if it is a work trousersl in cotton or linen.

White vinegar
Immersion:
- Soak the work pants in a basin of cold water and half a glass of white vinegar overnight;

- Toss it in the washing machine using a normal washing program and adding a single dose of detergent;
This method also fixes the color if it is a first wash.

- Pour a cup of white vinegar into the fabric softener tray;
- Choose a cold program before starting the washing machine.
Anti-limestone
The limescale remover contained in the fabric softener used for washing is also effective in softening work trousers.
Wetting the pants
Take advantage of the humidity of your pants out of the washing machine to stretch them on the parts that are too stiff. Repeat several times on the part concerned (belt or leg for example) and let it dry. Another trick is to spray warm water on the bottom of your jeans and stretch it insisting with your hands in all directions.
The bath trick
Dip with your pants in a tub of hot water, then wait for 15 minutes, massaging the areas that are too stiff. Then blot the suit with a towel, wait another 30 minutes while moving with your pants, then take it off and let it air dry.
Relax jeans
Dry the work jeans with three tennis balls in the dryer. Opt for the "sportswear", "jeans" or "fragile textiles" program. Tennis balls break the fibers of the fabric while the dryer will soften them.
