Ikea is planning a giant £60 million store in Northern England that will be its second-biggest in the UK. The ambitious plans have now received the go-ahead from the local authority and it means building on the site will start before Christmas.

According to BirminghamLive, the Swedish company has announced that the shop will close on August 9 because of "a number of factors" which included the location of the shop in Dale End.
