Which nooks are no longer supported? ›

Because of advancements in our eReader technology, unfortunately we are unable to continue to support the NOOK 1st Edition.

Barnes and Noble has announced that they will be disabling in-app purchases within the Nook app for Android on April 2nd, 2022. This means, that users will no longer be able to buy books through the app.

There may come a time when your NOOK Tablet or NOOK Color may become unresponsive—it may freeze no matter what you do. It's generally easy to fix: Press the power button, hold it down for 20 seconds, and then release it.
