Why did they write off Julie on Felicity? ›

She cites the main reason for her departure from Felicity (1998) in 2000 was that she needed to grieve for her mother. Her mother had died two years previously and she felt that being on such a prominent show hadn't given her the time or space to do so.

Johnson — now a TV director — made an appearance in the 2017 Rangers reboot film and regularly attends Power Ranger fan conventions, but ultimately didn't get a deal for the special she found worth her time. That said, we'll still get Pink Ranger representation in Once & Always.

Midway through season three, Amy Jo Johnson requested that Kimberly be written off the show because she wanted to pursue other opportunities in acting. The character was accommodated with a 10-episode story arc focused on Kimberly, leading up to her departure.

British-born aviator Amy (Johnnie) Johnson was the first female pilot to fly solo from England to Australia. She landed at Darwin Airport on 24 May 1930 in Jason, her Gipsy Moth G-AAAH biplane, after 19 and a half days.

In July 1931 she flew to Tokyo with her mentor and mechanic, Jack Humphreys, as co-pilot. They set record times to both Moscow and Japan. After a short courtship, Amy married Scottish pilot Jim Mollison in 1932, and they became known as the “flying sweethearts”.
