Caring Contact is devoted to promoting emotional wellbeing and preventing emotional crises by providing opportunities for people to express themselves to compassionate listeners in a safe environment. We respond to the need for human interaction and create opportunities for people to help each other.
Caring Contacts (i.e., recommended periodic caring communications) is a suicide prevention approach that involves sending brief, non-demanding expressions of care and concern at specified intervals over a year or more to patients who have been suicidal (i.e., recipients).
Taking 'caring for someone' as the absolute minimum standard, 'supporting someone' goes to the next level. It is about empowering people to take more control over even the smallest things in their lives or even a small part of a small thing; things that you or I would take for granted.
