How do you convert gear to tier set? ›

The Revival Catalyst allows you to convert non-tier gear into an equivalent item level and gear slot Tier piece. Tier slots cannot be made from crafted gear. The Catalyst requires Renascent Awakening charges to use. Renascent Awakening charges are gained passively every week, account-wide, up to a maximum of 9.

No you can't turn crafted gear into tier sets.

The applicable slots are Helms, Shoulders, Cloaks, Chests, Bracers, Gloves, Belts, Legs, and Boots, but only items that occupy Tier Set slots will be converted into set pieces. The remaining slots are converted just for transmog.

The Catalyst allows you to convert this season and past seasons items into corresponding tier sets. While most gear from PvP, Mythic+ dungeons, raids, and the Great Vault can be converted, some items may not be eligible. This includes, but is not limited to, crafted gear, faction reputation items, and quest rewards.

There's a chance to get tier pieces from the weekly vault (from the m+ slots, you don't have to raid), otherwise you may use the catalyst, though it has limited charges that you can passively gain over time. You may convert conquest gear in the catalyst and they keep their pvp ilvl in arenas and battlegrounds.

Converting Items Into Set Pieces

To convert a piece of gear using the Creation Catalyst, place a piece of Season 3 gear (Season Raid, PvP, Mythic+ or outdoor content) into the input slot, and press Transform! Your new craft Tier piece will have the same item level as the old piece.

It's worth noting that crafted gear cannot be transformed into tier gear. Once the item is selected, players can then click the “Transform” button and confirm the exchange to receive their new set piece.

In addition to vault you can manually upgrade certain pieces to PvE tier sets with the catalyst in tyr's hold, if you do this with a PvP item such a gladiator or epic hellbloom gear, this newly created PvE piece will also scale ilevel in PvP.

However, it's important to note that Crafted Gear and Items obtained through Renown tracks are not eligible for use with the Revival Catalyst.

The quickest way to complete the Revival Catalyst Quest is to complete the World Boss World Quest twice on two different characters.

Does Revival Catalyst keep tertiary stats? ›

The tier pieces all have specific secondary stats regardless of what item is put into the Catalyst, so those will be changed based on the tier set stats. Only bonus tertiary stats (Leech, Speed, Avoidance, etc.) and sockets carry over.

Adventurer gear in Guardians of the Dream starts at Item Level 428 and has 8 upgrade levels with the last one being Item Level 450, which is the equivalent to Mythic Sarkareth gear. You can convert the gear into Aberrus tier sets, but beware, once converted, the gear can NO LONGER BE UPGRADED.

In addition to simply wearing the upgraded Primalist Token gear, you can convert it into tier sets. If you don't have the time to raid or haven't been very lucky, this can be an incredibly useful way to power up your gear.
