Why can't I Transmog my gear? ›

Verify your character is eligible to apply the appearance you selected. Some appearances have some requirements before you can use them. Check your character for buffs which apply a costume and remove the costume. Make sure the item you are wearing is the right armor class for your class.

It happens when you have a set with one or more pieces you are not eligible to transmog. Typically that means that those pieces are bugged in some way. Try transmogging each item one at a time to see which item is the bugged one.

Transmogrifying the Dracthyr visage forms works just like how it does with every other race, but the dragon form works very differently. The dragon form can only display a couple pieces of armor, and that means that the perfect visage transmog may look awful on the dragon form.

Players can mix and match Legion artifact appearances of different class specializations to their weapons! With these new rules, you are able to transmog any artifact appearance from your class, as long as it follows normal weapon transmog rules (i.e. 1-hand to 1-hand, 2-hand to 2-hand, etc).

Transmogrification has a number of restrictions, and not all items or pairings can be transmogged. Most importantly, the character must be able to equip both items, armor must be of the same armor type, and weapons must use the same attack style.

Quick Transmo Chest Management

The key bind only works if you have a transmog chest and only if the selected item is transmog-able. The default key bind is Shift + Enter.

Note that your transmogs will be transferred over between current realms. For example WIldhammer and Area 52 will share the transmog sets you have saved on Al'ar.

How to Obtain: To acquire the Eternal Transmog suit, you must craft an suit with the Eternal Style.

You can transmog the legendary to look like other gear, what you can't do is transmog another piece of gear to look like the legendary (only applies to SL legos). I think he meant transmog to the appearance not from. We can transmog legendaries, just not the current ones. Which is fine since it's current content.
